Before we talk about what you can do with NFC tags, we'd like to point out that these are some very good quality tags that are made from PVC, making them very durable and water-resistant as well. In terms of technical specs, they can store 137 bytes of data. They're also re-writeable, which is extremely useful. If you're worried about someone overwriting it, you can worry not because they're also lockable. Like other tags, this is a permanent procedure and cannot be undone, so keep that in mind.
In terms of what you can do with NFC tags, there is quite a lot that you can do. There's an app you can purchase from the Play Store called Tasker that will allow you to automate several tasks with a single tag. For example, you can place a tag on your car's dashboard and when you get in you can swipe your A.N.G over the tag.
Then the phone can enter a driving mode, turn the ringtone way up, open up music apps, turn on Bluetooth to connect to your stereo, and much more. You can place one at your bedside table that sets an alarm, turns the ringtone off, and displays a big clock as well. I've also heard a story of a mother putting an NFC tag at the front door of the family house, and when the kids got in they would swipe their phones across it and it'd have their phones send texts to her saying they're home safe.
Remember, these are the only NFC tags that are tested to work for the A.N.G. The NTAG203 chip is what you want inside the tags, and these ones are currently for sale!
