What is ThermoRewrite ?
ThermoRewrite is a rewritable thermal recording material that can be printed and erased several hundred times.
By using this technology, visual information can be renewed repeatedly. This can help save resources and costs for many applications.
A rewritable thermal recording material, a clear, heat-sensitive layer that can be erased and rewritten more than 500 times, is laid over plastic MIFARE ® card. Using this technology, the digital information which is "hidden" inside ICs or magnetic stripes now can be human visible on card surface and can be renewed instantly repeatedly providing great convenience and flexibility for many applications. The plastic cards can be recycled and reused being eco-friendly for earth and cost-efficient for its users.
Advantages of ThermoRewrite:
1. High contrast and high resolution
ThermoRewrite can express clear images with high contrast and in high resolution. It is excellent for printing not only text but also photo images and barcodes/QR codes.
2. Wide range of products
The color of the print image can be selected as either black or blue.
The TRF series allows you to make thick plastic cards with rewritable feature.
The TRCG series allows you to make thin magnetic cards.
3. Combination with RFID
Visualization of the digital information of IC tags is especially helpful for coordinating standard barcode systems, ensuring good readability for the operator, and as a kind of backup for the information in an IC chip.
The reusable nature of ThermoRewrite and IC tags can enable cost savings and reduction of industrial waste.
